Dietary Reset Plan (7-10 days)
Pre-cleanse 2-5 days* before kitchari begin to eliminate:
- alcohol 
- sugary coffee creamers 
- option to wean off coffee (if you choose not to thats ok) 
- all oils except ghee, olive or organic coconut oil 
- processed foods 
- slowly eliminate all meat 2 days before cleanse day 1 
- added sugar 
- gluten/wheat 
- dairy/eggs 
- beans 
- tomato, eggplant, peppers 
- stop taking any dietary supplements* and vitamins for the duration of the cleanse 
What to eat during pre-cleanse as you slowly eliminate the above foods replace with:
- Foods from the LIfe-Giving Food list 
- herbal teas/green tea 
- coffee replacement use mushroom coffee as needed 
- veggie soups 
- steamed veggies, sweet potato, squash, steamed white potato 
- organic gluten-free oatmeal w/ cooked fruit 
- Quinoa with veggies 
- white fish and shrimp for protein 
- cooked fruit 
- fruit smoothies or veggie smoothies 
- avocados 
- dates, figs, a few nuts ok 
Kitchari Cleanse Days (3 consecutive days)

Post- Cleanse 2-5 days after kitchari
- reintroduce animal proteins/dairy/eggs slowly and in small portions 
- look for troublemakers 
- observe how you feel (physically and mentally) 
- follow Vital 8 basics (new habits)
